On February 15th, 2021, the Catalan rapper Pablo Hasél barricaded himself inside the University of Lleida with his comrades to try to avoid his arrest. At 7 a.m. the following day, the police penetrated the university to detain him. This incident triggered a wave of protests across the country, with Barcelona being the city where the riots were most intense and violent.
